we won't be sure until the last minute if we will be given time off from my husbands employer so I hope if we can go we will be allowed to attend the homecoming? I will contact the ombudsman to make sure. We weren't going to tell our sailor because if we get denied at the last minute it would be such a let down. darn

roxanne I would have liked to hear that conversation and yeah you got him to laugh. that's all that counts let them have their peace and end with laughing about it can't get better than that. We always laughed that our son went to boot camp with shorter hair then when we got to graduation. they will all enjoy the A/C when they return.

but then they shouldn't give the pretense that it is a gift a gift has no strings attached. shame on them If it is for a timeshare thing it surely isn't worth it to go because they can make it all sound so good IT NEVER IS>

my husband works in medical and has told me that there is a bug going around the ship, I asked him about food poisoning and he said no. They think is something that they picked up at port and is making its way threw the ship. I am so sorry to hear that so many people are falling to this bug one by one and it is hot there. God Bless them!!

like one of the girls said they are not use to eating all that rich food. some people just can't handle that. Anyway the time is drawing nearer. just praying that the guys can keep up the good attitude for the trip home. Praying for safe passage and a warm welcome as they return . Be sure to let us know what we need to do for the homecoming day. I am still crossing my toes, fingers etc. Even doing my first airplane flight ever to get back home after the homecoming. we are bringing our son a vehicle and then flying home. Little nervous about flying butterflies everywhere. lol

thanks everyone. we are hopeing that we can keep it a surprise and it would be anyway because even after they approve the personal time they can decline it at the last minute. So we will know on the 13th of august if we really can go or not. that is making the flight home reservations a last minute thing. oh well we will keep hopeing that we will be there and everything will work out. I think these guys and gals on board are all beginning to see the end so the missing everyone is starting to come out. thanks again for all your encouragement.
