Roxanne thanks for sharing that wonderful letter. It brought tears to my eyes also. My son, Jonathan, never shares information about the activities on the ship so it is so nice to read all of the comments. He is always talking to his girlfriend of 41/2 years. My family is counting down the days until the homecoming!! We can't wait to give Jonathan lots of hugs and kisses. Of course, his girlfriend gets the first chance!! lol. Also, looking forward to meeting all of you at the meet and greet.

thanks ladies it would seem unusual for them not to wear the whites every picture that I see of the ship pulling in is with their dress uniforms on but whatever they wear they will look good. Wish I could be there to see them :(( so so sad that I can't But so happy for all of those that can. give them a hoop and a hollor for us.

there was an article in the navy times about the uniforms they are not getting rid of the dress whites. It was stated in that article a few months ago. there had been talk about it and they said that no that was not happening.

What if I wanted to go to Norfolk, stay for a night or two, meet my daughter, spend some time with her, etc.,etc. How would I go about doing that?

It's part of the deployment cycle. They are tired of being on the boat and away from loved us. Anxious to get the deployment done and be back home. Almost over! Yay!

Thanks Roxann. My son thinks that he is going to have a problem sponsoring me. He sent an e-mail to me stating that he is looking for a female shipmate to sponsor me, I told him that I thought it wasn't necessary but I thought I would check with other moms out there as well. Have any of your boys out there heard the same.

Any moms with sons going on the Tiger Cruise? Are our sons permitted to sponsor us since we are female? We are getting a mix of info.

thanks
