Hi everyone! Welcome to Debbie. This has been my son's second deployment in two years. This one was longer than the first one. We are looking forward to the homecoming in August.

try again my son got to shore the first day and decided the next day to chill on board he said it was crazy but ok. got back to ship very late so decided he didn't want to get up early to go back. Enjoyed talking with him for quite a while the next day now he is back to work but remember one more day closer to home. YEAH!!!!

Would love to come to the meet and greet on August 13, is the invitation extended to moms, dads and sibs. Didn't think you all would mind, but I didn't want to intrude.

I am glad to hear about the shellback. I am looking forward to hearing all about it. Hopefully, this will get my son in better spirits. We are looking forward to the homecoming. Also, looking forward to meeting you at the meet and greet. Thanks for all of the updates. I don't hear from my son very often.

My son wants to stay in Virginia Beach when he returns. Any ideas on hotels there that won't be outrageously priced?

This will be my 2nd time to see him come in. It's such an unbelievable experience. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. It is a long wait on the dock, but certainly well worth it. Seeing the site of the ship as it comes into the harbor is thrilling. I can't explain how proud you feel when you see all those outstanding sailors standing at attention. This year all of my family will be able to attend which I know will make it even more memorable.
