Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. My Nassau sailor is an ABH3, I'm not sure what he will be doing on the Nassau, he is still going through all of his indocs. On the GW he was originally in the air dept and then transferred into the DC dept. My other sailor aboard the Kauffman is an EMFA.

I will totally have to agree with Roxann by the way. My first husband (my sailors' father) and I were both in the Navy (yes, that's MY bootcamp pic ) and yes it is definitely different being a Navy Mom.

Hi, My name is Karla and I am a proud Navy Mom of 2 sailor boys, both who will be stationed in Norfolk. My oldest just reenlisted and received orders to report to the Nassau the last week of May after coming off the George Washington for 4 years. The GW changed their homeport to Japan 2 years ago so I am VERY excited about having my sailors "close" to home now. My second son just finished his C school in Great Lakes and is now on his way to the Kauffman, to start his Navy career.

What is this Tiger Cruise? My son is on the Nassau and I haven't heard anything about this except for you. Is it because my son is a Marine?

They said a bus would be provided to drive those interested in going a ride from Va to NC.

Roxann, you should be very proud of that tree. It is very sweet that you do that. I can't wait for them to get home

went to a lovely small town program this morning My granddaughter was in the program and they did a wonderful job honoring the men and women who served and gave their lives and to all serving now. Very honored to be able to share with the retired service men and women and the auxileries. Hope you all enjoyed this time.
