OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son's ATM card that was not activated was stolen out of the box and somehow activated. They charged a LOT on his card. The bank took care of it but I am sick that someone would steal from a US military person. I am hoping the next card doesnt disappear. The first one was not declared on the dec page. I have heard of others having things stolen. I was thinking I should file a complaint but I dont know where to begin. The mail is backed up as you all know. My son told me he got the last box within the last few days so hopefully we are caught us and mail will get to them faster. I hope everyone is doing well. Its not easy when they are gone. Happy St. Patricks Day everyone!
