Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

yea i think the arguing will be what gets it deleted before opsec. there is one guy on there who used to be on the nassau and i wish i could just delete him from facebook, lol. but its kinda discouraging when all you see is arguing and its always about the same thing.

girl i have no clue. i think the new uniforms are ugly as sh** lol. i like the dress whites and blues,. because that looks like a sailor. i didnt marry a sailor for him to look like someone in the marines or the army lol.

yea people who werent manning the rails didnt have to wear there blues. i dunno. i mean ryan has his peanut butters because thats what we were told they were wearing for homecoming, because they had to buy em, they actually had inspections for the entire boat before they left i know that.

i dunno whether or not we were told correctly, but i know when they come home they are supposed to be wearing the peanut butters, if it changes who knows but i know thats why we had to get them before they left

my hubbys first class said they will be wearing the peanut butters when they came home and in ports over seas.from what we were told at the NEX when we were buying the new uniforms the dress whites were being phased out just like the dress blues. not every division had to wear dress blues when they left either, my hubby got to wear his nwu's.

yea they got rid of them. now they wear those ugly peanut butters. thats nota sailor to me. but oh well the navy is changin th are trying to be alot like all the other branches now.

that only bad thing is they dont wear dress whites anymore they go rid of them, when they come home they will be in there new uniforms, the tan shirts and black pans. "peanut butters". they all had to have like 2 sets before they left. i dont like them i would rather have the dress whites back!!

my friend told me this yesterday because i was havin a rough day....it not 6 months it 5 months and 25 days!!! lol. she said it sounds better than 6!
