OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

i sent out two boxes feb 1st and another box on the 4th or 5th and my hubby got them all on the 9th. He did tell me though that the farther they get from the states the longer it will take, but i have heard from some people that last deployment when they were in the med it was only taking about a week and a half to 2 weeks for them to get packages.

yea they made a huge deal about it last night. i guess they are lookn out for opsec stuff, so that they know we are sailors family and not just anyone.

the only thing with the ombudsman, is your sailor has to emal them and request for you to be put on the email list. they said that last night at the meeting. so jerjonjoe, email your sailor and ask them to email the ombudsman and request to have you put on the list and you will get all sorts of updates.
