Kellie when my husband was in boot camp I went to his graduation and my father in law bought me that book while we was there and right in the middle of the restraunt we was at. I bawled from reading some of the stories in that book..I loved it and hated at times cause all it ever did was make me cry but I couldn't put it down for nothing..

I've had that happen several times. Not just on this trip. Karl says keep trying, the service on the ship is not really great when they are in transit or even when we are having weather problems here in the states. Alot of it has to do with the way the ships system is set up...you have to remember our internet is not their internet...and even when you go on the navy website they don't have an authentication certificate like most other domains have to have. Just keep trying, it'll go thru. You may want to try replying back to an old email from him. Sometimes that works for me.

You are correct, those on the flight deck have little time to do anything, the access and time is limited. My son-in-law is an ABH, although my daughter does get a phone call daily, its easier to call then wait in line to check your email. Usually she gets a call in the evening
