FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

our son gets to go ashore today and tomorrow so hope he is having an awesome time everyone else that went the first two days really seemed to enjoy it. time is flying for us. 4 more days and august is upon us. yippy.

I talked to my husband last night, he said it was so relaxing and beautiful. The food was very yummy and he just sounded so good!! I am glad they got this stop!! Now they need to hurry up and come home!!

Glad I'm not the only one! It's hard to come up with stuff to keep a conversation going. I learned a long time ago to not ask too questions! I usually get yes, no or can't say as a response.

Thanks Georgia! I know my son will love Italy. Thank God they had another port call.
I don't hear too much either Melissa - I think it's been a long, tough cruise. When Andrew does call it's pretty much a one sided conversation.

Hi everyone! Only 3 more weeks and our sailors will be home. I am glad to hear that they got to stop at another port. I hope Jonathan is taking pictures. We just don't hear from him very much. I am glad I can keep up through your comments. I hope and pray they are all safe. See you soon!!!

me too!! I always feel like he is not safe until he is standing in front of me!! Not to much longer, all though the days just seem to be draggin on here.
