OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I also sent my son 2 packages, what happened was he heard his name, grabbed his box and took off. Lol  He told me he only got one. A few days later he discovered it was there in the mail room the whole time. Haha

I have that kind of job too, thank goodness! I am wondering the same thing about the packages. I sent 2 out, two days in a row, she got one, not the other, but she gave me a list of things she needs, I might try sending anyway. She said the same thing the same old same old, she said it feels like living through the movie Groundhog Day!! I hope they get some kind of shore time for a day or two to get a reset!

I agree. My job is really good about changes too. I'm thankful for that.

I just saw the FRG page. I forgot to turn on my notifications!! It makes me feel a little less anxious knowing Captain is personally involved in informing us.
