Hello,

My daughter has just gotten orders for this ship, she will be done with A School mid May and so she should be there within a couple of months. I am just learning about this whole process, how do you keep in touch when the ship is out? Is there a web address I can email her?

Navywifemom-

Over a year, that's a long time, but it just over year a for me when my sonecame home on New Year's Eve for 9 days.  I sure did miss that boy.  He's off to school in Florida right now.  I'm so glad that communication is so much better now, we speak to each other a couple of time per week.  Everyone, have a great week.

Hi all;

I won't be able to be there tomorrow, flying from California to Virginia is just too expensive at this time of the year.  My son will be home for New Years with me, and I can hardly wait to see him.  I haven't seen him since Jan 2 of this year.  If you all get to see him, please givehim a hug from me, an hug your sailors for me, to thank them for their service.  Enjoy seeing and having your sailors home.

We're in Michigan and won't be able to go out to Norfolk.  He and his wife are planning a time of just being together - at Disney for Christmas.  He's hoping for some time in January when they can come out here.  He surprised me with a phone call last night (his wife gets the phone calls, and mom gets e-mails) and we talked almost an hour.  Wishing a blessed Christmas to everyone.
