Jetsgirl;
I received an email and a reply email from my son this morning. I hadn't heard from him since last Monday. I haven't spoken with my boy since they were in Bahrain, but that email this morning made my day.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had heard by email or phone from their sailors in the past 2 days?? I am not sure if the email and phones are down and if they are normally the umbudsman send out an email and I have not got an email. I normally hear from my Sailor at least once a day either by email or phone and I have not heard a thing now is 2 days and I know no news is good news but I am a little concerned. Thanks JETSGIRL

HI all;
Haven't heard from my son since late Sunday night, he said they were real busy. Guess I'll just send him a quick email, if theirs is working, maybe, I'll get a reply.

my husband said that they are turning the phones and email off during parts of the day. Something about the area they are in. It is like hit or miss if when your sailor tries to call the phone may or may not be working. My husband had to try 7 times yesterday in between drills and lunch/dinner to get a line out. The calls are for about 5 minutes not very long but at least I get to hear his voice.He is sick with flu like symtoms and I am hoping this is not something going aroud the ship as I am sure this would not be good morale. Well hope the last half of this deployment fly's by......

I had 2 phone calls on Sunday!!! It was so nice to hear his voice. I was so excited and then was lost for words. He also said they were all very busy doing training and drills. It is nice to here that others are also hearing from their sailors. If you have not hold in there you will soon. Have a great week.....
