OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I haven't heard from mine since Tuesday. I do plan on being there for the homecoming celebration.

Thanks for your support. Jill that's a goof idea. I'll do that. Hopefully he checks hid email first....

Oh no! Maybe send him an email and sat open before facebook? He might be able to call if you can let someone know. That might scare him more if someone comes to him and says contact home. Tough situation.

Oh gosh I'm sorry.  That's a tough one.  No easy answer.  Sending positive thoughts.

My son hasn't been o. Fb in over a dsy. I think they're out of range.
We have bad news for him and he's going to see it as soon as he can get on facebook. His best friend was hurt badly in a motorcycle accident and I'd paralyzed. I've been debating whether I should contact the ombudsman or not so they can prepare him for the news.
