I think I am not posting on the right thread, or I somehow lost my post for OA. If I find it I will have to copy and paste!

Well, I did get a call today, and she really needed to vent but difficult because there was certainly a line of folks waiting on the phone. She likes the time off the ship to see what she can of the countries they are in, but being a CS is demamding to the exclusion of intetacting with visitors to the ship. I saw a picture of young people from a local orphanage in Riga that were able to tour the ship. Seems I know more about their extracuriculator activities than she does! I also saw a very nice picture of the OA with a rainbow over it. I sent her these pics in an email, but she said it is really hard to get computer time between working and sleeping. I added international txting to her phone line last month, but even though sje txted and sent some pics , I never received anything. I called the phone company and they told me she wpuld jave to call from another phone so they could look at it. Knowing how the technical side has you on hold forever before they 'work on it' for another 1/2 hour or so, I tossed that pne up to being unfeadable and cancelled the service.
I hope everyone else was anle to get phone calls and emails. I am looking forward to meeting up with her in a couple weeks when they get to Jacksonville

Sorry, Michiganbelle. I know that is so frustrating. I haven't heard anything from my son either. Thanks so much for sharing the info on their whereabouts. My son's girlfriend posted a lot of pics on Facebook of Spain, Germany and Estonia. They are certainly experiencing a lot right now. I hope you hear from your daughter soon!

Very dissappointed that I missed TWO phone calls from my sailor and no email from her since the Berlin bus trip. I hope she didn't give up on me, she never called her sister either, but a freind from college got a call. I see from the twitter feed they are now in Gdynia Poland and are giving tours of the ship as well as being a NATO presence. I hope they are able to get a little time to experience the history there. I wonder how they decide who gets to go ashore. I hope I can at least get a short email!

I have only heard from my son twice, since he left last month.  It sure it hard to not have much contact, but it sure made my day when I got an email this morning!!!  He is very busy and tired but looking forward to touring Kiel!

Debra, i sent a freind's request, I think then you can see the pictures that I have. Whenever I find anything I post it. Of course when they have all their gear on, it is hard to know who is who. But it is great when there is a picture you revognize!
