Just talked to Myles and he is on the base! Getting settled in his room and is taking the bus to get some food for the kitchen. Since he is one of the last to arrive, I have no idea what preparation is being done, but oh well, he made it to Hawaii!

I want to try to set up skype. I am so inept when it come to computer stuff :( Hopefully Brian will be through his grief counseling soon! He's currently working at the training command center. He's making good progress and finding some great encouragement. A Kaco (?) at the command center has been wonderful and really supporting him! So hard for this Mama to be so far away when her son is going through this painful process, but I know it will make him (and me) stronger; and in this I find comfort. Pressing on!

Hi Ellen, Talked to Jeff last night. He assures me he filled out the ombudsman form 2 weeks ago. SO here we go, huh?

Hi Everyone, Hoping to hear from my sailor this weekend as it has been 2 weeks. Going to ask him again if he filled out the "Ombudsman Information Sheet." Have a good weekend everyone!!

Hi everyone. All the boys are busy. Jeremy has been really busy working hard. This is my son's first deployment too. I have a Navy friend at work and he says it takes a real man to be a submariner. And that is what we are blessed with real men. Stay strong.

Ellen, I have the news letter, but am not sure of the protocol how to or if I can share it. Perhaps I can email it privately if I can figure that out :)
Pat, Brian said that Jeff came over and spent some time with him his first night back. What a guy!!
Bri also said that a number of the guys didn't expect to see him come back. He said the Capt. was glad to see him. I think that was encouraging to him. Bri said it was good to be back on the boat and that they were REAL busy and that would help him keep his mind from wandering.

Cyn, So glad that it sounds like he is doing okay. Will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
