So from what I am reading from the FB family page, we are within a really short time frame for the home port arrival...is that what everyone else is hearing??

Glad you had a good time Ellen.  Myles also has 2nd leave.  He plans on hanging out in Hawaii.  Can't blame him as they will be moving to the main land soon enough.  He might try to hop over to San Diego where his sister is and I might hop a plane to meet him there if timing and prices work out!

FYI - The USS Pasadena has a Facebook page that has great info and some pictures too :)  (Search USS Pasadena Family)

Also - if you have made travel arrangements for the original homecoming the ombudsman can help!  Contact them to get a letter in order to change your flight hassle free and without any penalties or additional cost. "We are able to send via email or regular mail. You'll submit that to the airline company and they should accomodate you. All we will need is the traveler's name and the airline sent to the official ombudsman account at pasadenaombudsman@yahoo.com This courtesy is extended to not only the spouse but the sailor's family and friends who planned on attending the homecoming."

Hi Everyone, Did you all get the email from the Pasadena Ombudsman? There is an arrival date!
Comment by Pat L. in IL on June 1, 2011 at 8:20pm
The Pasadena group on Facebook said an email had been sent to update arrival date. Did anyone get this email??

Rhonda, Have no idea how long the delay will be. Sailor is supposed to text more later today. If I hear anything, will pass it on.

Hey Mamas, I hate to be a downer but just got a text and arrival will be delayed. They are experiencing a breakdown and are still in that "hot place" they were supposed to leave yesterday.

Hi Everyone, Got a call today too (from that hot place). He is VERY close to getting his dolphins and made 2nd class too. Come on 'Dena, hurry home!!!
Comment by PeggyB. on May 23, 2011 at 8:50pm
Myles left a voice mail as I missed his call!  He is someplace that is hot and very windy!  I think he said he got his "fish" and  moved to 2nd class!  He is going to try to call tomorrow.  I noticed some of you said your sons were coming home for R&R.  Do you know if everyone qualifies to come home?? Myles hasn't said...maybe he wants to save his time for Christmas...
