wow Christine Proud Son of ET..sounds like your son has been waiting for a while to find out about his orders. glad to hear things are finally falling into place for him:) my son has been in the Navy for almost 3 years. SD and Hawaii sound nice !!
Dee...thanks so much for the recommendation. We definitely want to try and make a trip out there. I love Hawaii!
Hi pamelau1970..my son feels the same way about the swap. All of his orders had included SD but after so many issues they gave him a small stint in Hawaii. How awesome is that! :)
My son is no longer on the USS Paul Ham... but we did get to visit Hawaii twice.. when visiting please have your son or daughter check in to getting you a hotel room at Hale Koa its all military and a beautful place to stay in middle of waikiik
Oops! My son's PIR was 07/2014..not 2015. :)
Hi Mom0717...my son's PIR was in 7/2015...he graduated A school at the end of March but due to numerous changes in his orders he didn't start C school until July. He came home for 2 weeks before C school. He graduates on Monday. We aren't sure if he will be on hold, given another C school in SD or sent to Hawaii after graduation on Monday. I think he finds out this week. He isn't due to the Paul Hamilton until later this month but after long periods of hold, etc. he is very eager to get to the ship. My son is an ET. What rate is your son?
hi Christine proud son of ET and pameleau1970..my son is not In SD yet . he is scheduled to take 2 months of classes then move to either Hawaii or san diego
