Hi, I am new to the group.  Just found out that my son will finish his C-school and is being assigned to this ship.  Excited for him, but a little nervous as this will be his first assignment.

kjkooz.  No problem.  I agree.  New ones to the site need to be reminded as well as us older ones.  Thanks!!!  I am so glad so many of you will be there to greet our sailors.  My sailor will be flying home for some time with us once they return.  Can't wait...

d0shir01 I knew that you knew the rules - just have noticed a few new names and wanted to give a gentle reminder! Sorry you won't be able to come to Hawaii - but at least you got a chance to go once. This might be our first and last trip there too!

Thanks for the reminder.  Yes, I know we can't post dates.  Just wanted to know if anyone heard there was a specific date or not.  I wasn't expecting the date to be posted.  But, I agree, we all have to be careful what is posted.  I just hope they get to come home on time.  I am just sorry that I won't be there to greet my sailor when they finally come home.  Too expensive to fly.  We did go out last June and had a great time with them before they left.

Just a reminder to those that are new - remember the OPSEC rules about not posting anything on this site (in regards to sailors name, ship return dates, etc...) We don't want any of our boys/girls to get in trouble. In my experience, private face book messages are better for chatting about anything specific or forming friendships. Sorry, don't mean to preach! ;-)

Do we have an exact date yet?  Does anyone know when they are returning?
