I wonder if they are on lock-down or something.  I emailed our son yesterday and haven't heard back-- which is unusual.  He's either very busy or they can't communicate!

I wonder if they're concerned about 9/11?

I hope your DIL gets along ok.

We sent Kyle a box on Monday and we haven't heard that he got it yet.  We always buy those boxes at the post office that are one price and we stuff it full of things he wants or needs.  This is the first mailing we have done on this deployment.  I am anxious to hear how long it takes to get it.

we hear from our son at least once a week through email. Yes, they do have an assigned ship address and I don't know whether they can use their old email or not.  We mail a package when he emails us something he needs or would like to have.  Mostly things that can be used and not stored---not much room there!  He is also on my sister's church mailing list from Tyler, TX and gets "care packages" from them. I don't know how long it takes for them to get mail.

Kyle is also a helicopter mechanic. ( I don't know if that's the official name, but that's what he does)

My son moved over to the Pinckney from the Stennis right before deployment.

Is anyone concerned about the Tsunami hitting the CA coast or am I worrying needlessly?
