Loving a Sailor isn't much fun
but its worth the price when the battle is won.
And remember he's thinking of you every day,
he's sad and he's lonely while so far away.
So love him and miss him and hold your head high,
Be strong and have faith, wipe that tear from your eye.
Your man's a seafarer, like that old ancient trader,
It's a high price you pay for loving a Sailor!

Susan, you are a wonderful mom. How can I help with neck scarves? That was a great idea to send the GS cookies. I am sending movies, tv series, etc.

Can anyone message me the APO address?  This is my sons first deployment and wasn't able to get the address from him.

Yes... I have sent two big boxes of Girl Scout cookies...  the first had about 30 boxes and the second had more than that!

I also sent kiddie pool and water guns for them to share when they have a steel beach party!  and I have been stitching cool neck scarves for them... hoping to get enough finished to send for the full crew!  anyone want to help??\

what will you all be sending to your sailor for the holidays??

hey there Patty!

I can answer one of your questions...  the Air Detachment (helicopter squadron) were not in dress whites... they were working unloading the pallets of their tools and equipment and getting it all stowed away.

I also noticed a few of the ships crew in 'working' clothes getting out underway... my guess is they were BM working the anchor and ropes.
