Loving a Sailor isn't much fun
but its worth the price when the battle is won.
And remember he's thinking of you every day,
he's sad and he's lonely while so far away.
So love him and miss him and hold your head high,
Be strong and have faith, wipe that tear from your eye.
Your man's a seafarer, like that old ancient trader,
It's a high price you pay for loving a Sailor!

Hey Patty...  don't know what the address was last time as my son just joined the ship... but they usually don't change...  this time it is an FPO AP (Fleet Post Office Asia Pacific)...  was that what you needed??

Sending boxes is second nature to me... my son laughed as he knew he would have at least one box from me and at least one or two to share with the squadron and the ship.  I have my nieces and nephews make cards... would love to work with other moms to coordinate our efforts.  For example we could all send items for a steel beach party... or for the holiday that falls that month...  do they have a chaplain aboard?  What about banners for the galley?  Is there an active FRG for the ship?

Susan....well as we all know it's coming up sooner than we like, but according to alot of the guys they are looking forward to getting away for a while. It's harder on us then it is them. In the past I've gotten my friends and family to help fill boxes and boxes of goodies for them, I sent 21 APO boxes full of stuff the last deloy. We made cards, and even had a class of 3rd graders make them some, they loved it. I always have a box laying around and filling it with little things to make my son smile. He says it helps! If you have any questions about things to send... just ask.

Anyone going on the Family cruise? I'm sad I won't be able to make it there. My son's girlfriend is going instead, which is probably better anyway. I wish all that are going a great time.

We had the best time out in Cali, I can't wait to go back again. It was great seeing my son, I missed him so much! So who was at the Homecoming? Would love to hear some stories. Our son showed us all around his ship and we met all of his buddies, nice guys! He also loaded us up with all the things he bought from the ports they stopped at and alot of pictures to go through. Good memories he will have, hopefully to tell his kids one day. Well the Christmas season is around the corner and I wish all of you a Happy Holiday. I hope you will get to spend some much needed time with your sailors. Enjoy

We found out some really good news from my son, he made jr sailor of the quarter of desone and he also said the CO was sending a personal recommendation for him to go to the Naval Academy.  I was shocked! Now we will just pray that he passes the ACT/SAT and is accepted. Just wanted to brag a little.

It seems no one else is ever on here anymore, what's going on?  Hope all is well with everyone and your sailors.

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, please thank all your sailors for serving our country and keeping all of us safe. God bless everyone!
