Loving a Sailor isn't much fun
but its worth the price when the battle is won.
And remember he's thinking of you every day,
he's sad and he's lonely while so far away.
So love him and miss him and hold your head high,
Be strong and have faith, wipe that tear from your eye.
Your man's a seafarer, like that old ancient trader,
It's a high price you pay for loving a Sailor!

Okay I am happy girl again. I talked to my hubby bear tonight. Hey does anyone live in Orleck Heights bc I need someone to mow my back lawn for money, while I am here in Texas.

I got to talk to my nephew a couple of weeks ago or so and he wanted me to know that they opened the last 10 boxes of the 19 that we sent them.  We sent them 190 homemade cards plus boxes of various other goodies to remind them of home.  I hope it helped.  I'm only an aunt to a sailor and though I miss him so much I know it's not the same to those who have sons or husbands who are gone.  My sister and I (and other family and friends and strangers who donated goodies or money) are really thankful for not only the sailors sacrifice but also your sacrifice.  You all sound like a strong group of women.  Thank you to not only your men :) but to you as well.

that is such a good idea!!!  email dont send anything because it clogs the email up when it finally gets running! I sent a package and my husband got it like 2 weeks later only because they hit port. Hope your doing well

I just sent out a package for my hubby, do you guys know roughly how long its taking for them to receive it.  I gave up  on emails for the moment and i feel terrible that he isn't able to hear from me so i've decided to keep a video diary everyday and putting it on a cd so i can send it to him every week.

I'm hoping that the email will come up sooner then later. My son turns 21 today and it's killing me that I can't communicate with him. I sent a card and beef jerky to him 17 days ago and a camera and cliff bars to him on May 5th. I'm hoping he at least got the camera. I can't imagine how hard it has to be on all of you wives out there.

I really need to vent. I am so pissed at myself. I did not write down my husbands drivers licence number and I really need it. I am paying 137 month for cable in San Diego when I am in Texas. I called Time Warner and found out that I could pay 19 dollars month instead of 137 a month if I had his drivers license number to make account changes. And as you lovely ladies know the email is down. Lord please give me strength. But I am still on cloud nine after talking to my wonderful hubby. He really made me smile and Bradley started babbling when he called.
