This is so exciting !! I can't wait. It will be a great day. : )
Unsure as to their arrival time.
Colleen, Maybe you could take some pictures and post them here that would be so great for us to see.
Merry Christmas to all !!!
My family and I will cheer extra for the Moms who can't make it to homecoming. This is my first"homecoming" of the fleet. My husband was in for 7 years and was never on a ship. I just picked him up from airports! This was in the 80's.
I won't be able to go the homecoming :( Were in CA but as soon as they port that same day he is getting on a plane (weather permitting) so we can see his beautiful face. Please give a huge Cheer for us too !!
They'll be here soon! My husband, our son's fiance & I am getting ready to make the trip to Norfolk. All of our Christmas prep is done (we've never been done this early before) with the tree decorated, gifts wrapped & Christmas cards sent. Nothing like the Navy homecoming to get us motivated. I even baked cookies this year and will do an exchange with 16 other women in my company. All this for one young man who will walk off the ship and back into our home, even for a short period of time. May we all share in the joy and happiness of having our loved ones with us this Holiday season.
just got an e mail from my daughter. All she said is "still seasick!" Poor thing. I guess the medicine from the ship's Dr. isn't helping very much. She didn't join the ship til mid Sept. so she missed the ocean crossing the first time. She graduated from Penn State in May and the XO wanted her to take a class before she joined the ship.
That is so awesome Colleen, Mine will pull into port and get on a plane to come home. We can't wait. It will be a very nice holiday.
My daughter said they are only 3 hrs ahead of us now. She can't wait to get see all of us. Only 5 more days!
So very excited to have our son coming home !! We have so much to catch up and celebrate.
They will soon be stateside! Can't wait to see my daughter.
