Forgive me, it's been a while. To Nolan'sMomma: the Facebook page I was referring to can be reached by just typing in USS Ross in the search box. I can't access it at work so Im usually on it late at night. Great pictures (always looking for my son) and dialogue. Sorry this is soooooooo late but hope it helps!

Hi Debbie, Nolan'sMomma, my daughter has only been on the Ross since 19SEP so I don't know if she was there for the steel beach picnic. I'll have to ask her when I email her later today. I hadn't heard about the Send A Sailor a Smile thing. I would definately like to participate. I can get the Sunday School students at my church to help. I go to a small church. I will try to get in touch with Cheryl James. My son is stationed in Goose Creek, SC. He just completed A school and is on T track. Power school starts 2NOV. He just went back to his base yesterday after being home a week. You have a great Monday too. We are enjoying the rain, haven't had any in a while. Colleen

Hi Nolaln'sMomma, I've had a couple emails from Lindsay. 1 longer one and 2 short. The latest was a request for slippers and a emory board! She also asked for non sugar free individual mixes. It's really hard to find ones with sugar. Wal-mart carries some coolaid with sugar and Country Time Lemonaide with sugar. She is one of 3 new ensigns who joined the Ross.

My daughter is flying out of Norfolk today on her way to join the ship. It will take some adjusting to not being able to just call her.

Hi all, I'm new to this group but not to N4M! My daughter is leaving Norfolk Tues, to join the ship. She graduated from Penn State May 2010 and has been in Va since mid July waiting and taking a class for her ship job. I hope she has safe travel. This is her first deployment.

Good Morning, Moms!!! Just wanted us to have a site where we could chat and trade info about our sons/daughters aboard. Also, wanted to make sure you had the info for the ombudsman, Laura. I know that ship is about 4 hours ahead of us, so your emails should come in during the early morning (mostly). Anything I can do, let me know. Have a blessed day!
