Hi i am carol my son will be joining the Ross his Sunday Dec 4 we live in nashville tn and will leave fri morning for Virginia I would love to be introduced to you all
TerryM, Wow, your son sure is tall! I bet he barely fits into his rack! We went on a Tiger Cruise on the Ross in March and my mom and I got to stay in an officer's stateroom. My husband had to sleep in the general berthing area. I know there isn't much room in the beds. Some of the passage ways are too high either! How long has you son been in the Navy. Lindsay was comissioned May 2010.
My daugher is moving from an apartment, so is Ian and they are renting a house together closer to base. I don't know the address yet. They are moving some things now. She has til the end of Dec and Ian has til early Jan to get all the stuff from the apartments. She was close to Ghent and Ian was in Ghent. They will be engaged shortly after Thanksgiving! Lindsay's brother Nathan just completed Prototype, the3rd of 3-6 mos schools to be an Electrians Mate, Nuke. I am lucky that my son's first ship is Enterprise and my 2 kids will be at the same port! Lindsay is planning to have Nathan stay with her when he is able to. Being enlisted, rules are different and he makes E5 in Jan/Feb next yr.
TerryM, my daughter's name is Lindsay. She is one of the shorter ones on the ship! Her bf is 6'1", quite a contrast between them. Lindsay is moving soon and is having people over to help paint. Maybe Roly will be one of the helpers! Haven't talked to my daughter yet about chatting with you. She will be surprised.
Terry, you are welcome. My daughter said your son was really nice and is looking forward to working with him! She and her boyfriend hang out with people from both of their ships so I'll sure they'll all get together soon!
Hi Terry, welcome! My daughter reported to Ross last year and joined it mid-deployment. When I talked with my daughter (Thurdsay I think), she mentioned a new guy joining the ship! Is you son's job NAV? If so she met him and already knew his name from friends of friends. We don't use last names typically on N4M for security purposes. My daughter is an Ensign. She was just assigned as new job as 1st LT 3-4wks ago. She is also the ship's legal officer.
