Wow is right Esther....he's been on the sub for a while!!!! It sure doesn't seem like it goes by fast. If you don't mind me asking, what Division is he in?

Hi JerseySusan,So we were both there for the hurricane...what are the odds???

My sister lost her power for twelve days and she lives in Northern NJ.  My parents never lost theirs and they live just fifteen minutes inland from the Jersey shore. Congrats on being a grandmother again.  I can't wait but I may need to for a while.  I am on the list and have sent in a box.  Thanks for checking with me.

Elizabeth, Are you on the Ombudsman list & did you receive their Newsletters in October?

Comment by JerseySusan on November 13, 2012 at 12:04pm

Elizabeth, It just so happens My husband & I came up from Georgia to NJ  visiting our daughter & family (Who still live in our home until it sells), for Halloween. We did really well. Our house is in Williamstown (25 miles East of South Philly). Our power "never" went out. My sister who is the caregiver of our parents in PA, and lives about 25 miles 'West" of Philly, had a power outage for 4 days. I am still up here in NJ until after Thanksgiving. Our daughter is pregnant with her 3rd child, so I have been helping her get through that 1st Trimester phase of "Not feeling So Great".

Jersey Susan, how did you fair in the hurricane?  I was visting my sister and my parents in NJ when it happened.  I was in Bridgewater but we drove to Lakewood which is 15 minutes from the shore (Point lPeasant area) a couple days after it hit . I have only been back in California for a week.

Hi Mom's, Now is a good time to make sure you have your Sailors sub e-mail address, & if your sailor is single & not married, ask if you are the one listed on the Ombudsman List to get Current Up-Dates. The Ombudsman are the Liasons (wives), & are an extremely helpful source of info.to families of the crew.

Elizabeth, our house in Williamstown NJ,(southern). Soooo...we are "Philly" fans not the (northern) NY fans!!!  LoL !!
