I guess by now everyone has heard about the very sad tragic news of the sailor's family on the USS Ronald Reagan. The ship was out on a deployment for 7 months and pulled into San Diego on Sept. 9, (the day the power went out). His parents & brother were traveling by car for his homecoming and were hit in a head on collision of a tractor trailer coming in the opposite direction just outside of Tuscon. No one survived. The sailors name is Sean & you can find his mothers web site on N4M. Absolutely one of the saddest events I have heard of.

Well, we have had another busy household this week.We all know San Diego had a major power outage. Our Grandson baby Connor finally came home today!!!!! My husband flew to Amsterdam for a business trip today. My husband was a little on the edge after we start to pull into the internatonal terminals & there is a swat team standing on the road looking under the overpass we just came over & staring at each car as they pass by. On another note, my youngest son Air Force Special OPS Team was filmed about 10 days ago for a Special Report for Fox World News, was aired throughout the day on Friday 09/09 in different segments. We took some pictures on the TV of him. I downloaded them to my profile, but they probably won't get approved until Monday. Patrick started 2cnd grade this week & his first soccer game was Sat. And of course another bad week full of "Rain"!!!! I feel like we live in Ireland with all the "green grass" scenery!! So we have had a very full week!! Colleen, how did Jessica make out with her first week of college OR should I ask how "YOU" made out without having your baby girl around anymore? At least she is not to far. My husband & I will be moving to Atlanta in 2 more weeks. It's going to be hard being away from our grandchildren, but we will be back up alot. Hope to hear from all of you soon.

Very, Very, "Excited" for Jessica!!!!! Oh...... "I" know what you mean Colleen about cleaning up a daughters room after 4 years of H.S.!!!! I know she will make you very proud! Providence RI, that is where my mother grew up. My grandparents house sat up on a very steep hill. I have Aaron in my prayers. Chris has very long hard days during the week, then by Sat night, he usually sounds much better. I know how hard it is to encourage him & keep his spirits up, to what seems to be a difficult time in his life. Try to make him think, or see, a "silver lining" for this unsettling cloud hanging over him. Love To All Of You.

We are doing well after losing our power for two days earlier this week. A friend let us stay at her house and in turn we helped her clean up her huge yard.  In the midst of all that we're getting Jessica ready for the big move to college Saturday.  Cleaning out her room was a major project today, but it's done.  We're leaving early Saturday morning and driving to Providence, RI.  I start back to work next Wednesday.  So much happening in such a short time.  Aaron is struggling still and needs our prayers. Congratulations on the new baby.  I'm sorry he's not doing well.

Hi Ladies, Gee.......I hope all of you on the East Coast survived "Irene". The pictures on the news in some places look terrible. We were so blessed not to have any power outages or flooding. We did have several tornado warnings throughout the night, camped out in the basement with our grandson who is 7, while his mommy spent the night at the hospital with our new grandson. He is still in the NICU, he probably won't come home until the end of next week. We have heard from Chris. He & his GF might be planning a trip in Oct. for a visit in Atlanta when we move there. I am sure all "you' teachers are busy getting ready to go back. Patrick starts 2cnd grade this year next week. I believe Chris's GF is just going to substitute teach this year out in San Diego. I hope everyone is well & safe.
