Hi Shirley, it was good to hear from you. How is your son doing? So far right now it's the calm before the storm. Chris said to me "Mom I bet you didn't know you would feel an earthquake before me!!" My daughter and Fiance will be spending the night with baby Connor at the hospital. The brand new hospital is beautiful, BUT constructed with "ALL" windows!!! When you ride by it, it's all glass!! Even Connor's room is nothing but one huge window, and everyone knows what a worry wart I am  :(   :(  !!!!!!!  Poor little guy had to go under the lights in the incubator for his jaundice. I picked my husband up from the airport yesterday, & he hasn't been able to see him yet. No visitors until he comes out from under the lights. My daughter is only aloud to hold him for 20 minutes to feed them!! :(  :( .

Great to hear from you, Shirley and that you are doing well.  Today in Brockton, MA, it is sunny and beautiful.  It's hard to believe a storm is coming.  The storm is supposed to hit us over the weekend.  We are over an hour away from the coast.  My daughter and I will go see a movie this weekend while it's pouring.  I'm sure most people will do that.  Hugs to you and stay safe.

It has been a very busy week here in central NJ... I felt the earthquake earlier this week, was not pepared for that one but quickly recognized what it was, guess living in CA all those years growing up in the air force paid off... and now we prepare for Ms Irene to make her debut in Jersey... and for all of those people who thought the Jersey Shore was just a cast of drinkers on MTV renting a home in our wonderful Seaside NJ... we are much more.  Weather reports are sure forcasting this storm to be very dangerous and something to be concerned about. Hopefully the damage the impending storm offers will go easy on the loss of electric from downed trees and broken wires.  (after all what will we do without the electric, cable and cell phones and of course my email, internet)   It has been an amazing year here starting with the blizzards that came our way in December and January and moving thru to this storm.  I was happy for the mom's of the Navy men whose boats from Virginia were on the TV today heading out to sea to avoid this storm... and know we will all keep those men in our prayers as well as their mothers for their safe return to port after the storm passes.  {{{hugs}}}

Thanks, Susan! I will be praying for you and Colleen. I, as a life-long Californian, do not really understand hurricanes or the damage they do - just what I see on television so I am frightened. Pray for J and Bailee and for my peace of mind!

So, we have had a very busy week. My daughter Stephanie is coming home tonight, but Baby Connor has to stay in the NICU for 2 more weeks. On Tuesday, slowly throughout the day, his respirations became deep & very fast. It took a "couple of times" convincing the nurses that something was wrong with his breathing. So they brought him back to the NICU for a 24 hour observation, put him on a monitor, did some tests and found out that his lungs are not fully developed. :(   Now we are preparing for the East Coast Hurricane approaching us on Sunday. Hopefully my husband will get back from Atlanta Friday evening. He changed his air flight from Sat. to Fri. having a better chance of making it home before Irene passes through!! Colleen, I'll be thinking about you as the storm passes up your way & Deb, I'll be thinking about J & his wife. I hope everyone & your families are healthy doing well. Love to All  ((((( : )))))

So far I have lost about 11 pounds.  That is a big deal for me.  I enjoy WW's too.
