Shirley, Congratulations to Steven on a very smooth transition. I wish him all the best with his future plans and I am glad he is very "Happy" with his decision. I am not sure at this moment, but I think Christopher will probably be considering to do the the same in a couple of years. It is still to soon to tell what a couple of years could bring with his life in the Navy. It was great to hear from you, & that was "Too" funny to know that Steven was already home, & you were out in San Diego when the sub pulled in !!!! :)
Susan, you do have a lot on your plate! We're about an hour or so from the beaches, depending on which beach. My allergies are still acting up, though not as bad. This summer is easy going so far. I'm going to visit my family in August. I haven't heard from Aaron for awhile, but then no news is good news.
Welcome Betsy!! Christopher is my son's name. He is an electrical technician (ET1). As of right now, the sub is in dry dock for a while, so it won't be leaving port for quite some time. But there is a lot of work that needs to be done. Is your son assigned to the USS San Francisco? Colleen, how far is the beach from you & how are your allergies? Sally, it's always great to hear from you. And Cathy, I'm glad to know I'm not alone with all my worries, hah, hah!! Right no I have a lot on my plate. My daughter is due with her 2cnd child Sept.4th. I am planning a baby shower for her in a couple of weeks, we have to make settlement on a house in Atlanta GA, 3 weeks from now, but we are not moving until 2 weeks after the baby is born, but I will probably be coming back soon after that b/c my mom has to have hip surgery. My youngest son is on leave & he came home last night for a couple of days. YAHOO!! OK, I think I am out of breath!! Everyone, have a great weekend!!! :)
