Good Morning to All,  Deborah, that's great about J.  Sounds like deployment brought J's heart and soul closer to you. Cath, you can never say anything wrong about your son to a sub mom.  We are, and will always be in a learning stage for a long time. I know we are all just so Thankful, that Colleen brought us all together. We have all helped each other out with many up and downs during these past months.

Welcome, Cath!  Everyone, I had composed a long pre-Easter note and before I could send it, it all disappeared!  I am still getting used to this new computer.  I just quit and hoped you all knew I was thinking of you anyway. I have talked with J several times and this last time was on Resurrection Sunday.  We talked for more than a half hour!  That is a long time for J.  He sounded great!  I told him I had booked my flights and so I will be visiting them in South Carolina in July!  They also will be spending a week with me in June.  My son has not stayed overnight at my home for over 5 years!  I am so excited!  I got to spend time with my DIL on Friday and Saturday.  She is planning his welcome home party.  It is getting close, Ladies!

Welcome Cath, and a warm welcome to your son joining the USS San Francisco! There are alot of great sailors aboard that will be standing along the side of your son and supporting him. Which department will he be in? And to the rest of all our crew Mom's, It has been great to hear Christopher's voice, with some down time they have been given at this Port, he is actually laughing!! We haven't heard him laugh in a very long time. Hopefully, this Port was the best medicine prescribed before the pull in. I hope everyone had a very nice Easter, both of my parents made it to our house. We had beautiful day, sunny and in the low 80's. We had a little strom that popped up at dessert time and with that came a beautful rainbow. Love To You All.

Hi and welcome, Cath!  Happy Easter to everyone.  Cath, my son's name is Aaron. Aaron seems to be enjoying himself, too.  I think the down time helps them to unwind after being in the sub for so long.  I can't believe they will soon be home again.  I'm so happy, Susan, that Chris is having a good time.  Have a great day tomorrow, everyone.  Love xoxoxox

Hello Ladies, Happy Easter and Happy Holiday!! Busy getting everything ready for tomorrow. Just made the potato salad. We always do a lamb roast and fresh made kabasi from the butcher. That is our Easter tradition. We have heard from Christopher quite a few times, as a matter of fact, all different times, 5:00am,1:00am 11:00pm, whenever it is good for his time!! He is "finally getting some well deserved free time to explore the port. This port is absolutley "Up his Alley" He went snorkeling and swam with all the little "Nemo" fish in the crystal clear blue water. He just loves being there with all that "Tropical" scenery!! Hah, he told us he wouldn't mind being on that island for a couple of years!! But that's Chris, always dream't of wanting to be on an island like that. He is hoping to get a chance to golf. Anyway, We are very, very happy for him that he is finally getting a chance to "explore"! I hope everyone is having the same experience!! Love To You All and Happy Easter.

I think it's great Aaron can call us from his phone.  He sounds more relaxed, but then with him it's hard to tell sometimes.

Good Morning Girls, I am so glad everyone has heard from their sons. Deborah, keep those Charleston plans going, you will Love the visit!!! Sally, I think I remember you said your son is meeting up with the boat & crew when it arrives, right? Colleen, Chris reactivated his cell phone last night, so now when he is in port, if we need to get a hold of him, or he needs to call us, he will have access to do it.  :)

Yay!  I am glad our sons checked in.  J called me this morning too.  He was very tired and didn't talk long as he was just about to turn in.  I am glad that they have this time in port.  I think the time will go faster now.  I told J I wasn't coming for his pull-in.  But I am actively working on a visit, this summer, after they move to Charleston.  Soon our sons will be on continental US soil!

That is great news Colleen. Christopher called too this a.m.  It is so great to hear their voices isn't it? He sounds tired, he was doing some laundry, but he said there will be time for him to call us on a couple of occasions. We will be anxiously awaiting his next phone call. He said hopefully the Skype will cooperate as he is in a better location for communications.

I heard from Aaron early this morning.  He called.  It was great to hear his voice.  He hasn't gotten to go out exploring yet.  Sally, I hope you will let us know what is happening with your son in the future!
