I just wanted to let everyone know that Christopher left a short voice message on my phone this morning @ 5:40am. I never heard it b/c I was in the shower getting ready for work (working 2 sat. in a row) At first I was upset that I missed not talking with him, but now I am just happy that he had the chance to leave a message. :) He sounded good, reasured us everyone is good, but that we won't be hearing from him via phone for a while. I did send him an e-mail last night, I hope he gets it soon. Bonnie, A very nice warm welcome to you and your family. I see your from the Pennsacola area. My mother-in-law and 2 sister-in-laws live in Destin, and my youngest son is stationed in the Air Force @ Hurlburt Fort Walton.Everyone, keep your spirits up!!!

Gee, seeing all the devastation over there just breaks my heart for all the families. We haven't heard from Christopher, but thanks Shirley for keeping us up-dated on the latest. It's great that your son had access to facebook. Deborah, have you heard from J or your DIL? Is she on her way back soon? Colleen, keep your spirits up, I am sure Aaron had a busy schedule this past week. If and when I hear anything from Christopher, I will let you ASAP. Love To All of you.

I was concerned, too.  There was a tsunami watch for a few islands.  Hopefully it  has passed them.  I haven't heard from Aaron.

Thanks Shirley for that detailed up-date.Even though our sons aren't there right now, that was weighing very heavily on my mind this past hour. The pictures of the tsunami are devastating. I am leaving for work now, talk to everyone later. Love To You All.

BRUSSELS — The Pentagon says that U.S. Pacific Command reports all U.S. military personnel in Japan have been accounted for after Friday’s earthquake and tsunami. Press secretary Geoff Morrell says there are no reports of injuries to American personnel or damage to U.S. installations or ships in the area.

Morrell says U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates was briefed by Pacific Command officials Friday while he was in Brussels to attend a NATO meeting on the Afghanistan war.

The U.S. Navy’s 7th Fleet is based in Yokosuka, Japan.

Wow......We can all count our "Blessings" our sailors are being taken care of with all our prayers for their safety. Thank goodness they are not near Japan.

Hey Deborah, I just need you to know that even though Christopher has to cover the other guys, he's very happy and excited for the other guys who's wives came, especially to the ones he's close too. It wasn't only this port that he hasn't had time to see,it's been pretty much all of them. He just thought the whole experience was going to be different than it has. He has been taking a lot of time helping those underneath him with their qual's,instead of taking time with himself for his own advancement. But that's how he was brought up. Always helping those in need. Thats why he loved teaching at Prototype in SC. Right now he can't wait until he gets back to the states with a much needed leave. He did tell us his GF is planning on moving out there in June. As much as both Michael and I feel that their should be a stronger committment between them both before the move, we have to accept his decision and be happy for him if this is what he really wants. Love To You All

I know what you mean, Susan.  I'm sure that is why I haven't heard from Aaron.  He doesn't have time!  I'm glad at least that he got to enjoy the last port.  I know Aaron must have gotten the news about the family deaths.  I wish he would call!  I trust God to take care of him.
