So, Christopher Skyped me today. He was really tired. He did tell me that they have had to do extra coverage for the guys who's wives came. He is really disappointed. I guess he thought pulling into different ports would be a great experience, but as it aways turns out between duty, shift, maintence and trying to get all the laundry done, there's just no time to experience it. He especially was looking forward to this one, but because he has to cover for others, he's not going to get a chance to enjoy it. Of course, as his mother, my heart is aching that he is feeling this way. :(
Deborah, that sounds great about J and his wife. I bet they are really enjoying being with each other, and having the experience of seeing another way of life. I know this is a port that the wives were meeting up with them. So if you didn't have a wife their, then I am guessing the others had to cover that duty and shift. I am not to sure if Chris's GF went. I'll know when he gets a chance to call. It sounded like some of the wives and GF's were going to surprise them. I am hoping that we hear and see from Christopher tonight or tomorrow through Skype.
Hi Ladies, Christopher called very briefly. He had duty today and he was hoping to get a little free time after that. We didn't get to much time to talk. He said he will try tomorrow or the next day. He said everything is good. Colleen.. please don't worry, when they pull in, sometimes they have to stay on the boat, depending on their shift. I am sure Aaron is doing good as well.
