I know, Susan.  I feel your hugs and love.  I hope we can continue to "see" one another here, even after the fellas return from deployment.  Aaron will be in the Navy until he is twenty-nine!  Love to you all.

I am doing very well this week.  God has lifted the heaviness from my spirit that has kept me on the edge of tears for the past two weeks.  I am feeling much better.  I read this morning about the mail drop.  Aaron wanted candy, but they said not to send food.  He didn't want anything else.  I probably won't participate in this one.  Before we know it, our young men will be back!  Whoo Hoo!

Hi Ladies, I hope everyone is doing well this week. I have had a chance this morning to go on-line and check out the website for the Blue Star Mother organization. It's very touching to know this exist. I also checked out how to purchase a banner. Of course there are several flag company's that make the banners. One inparticular caught my eye because when you purchase a banner $1.00 is donated towards The Blue Star Mothers of America. The website is www.serviceflags.com/flags.htm My sister has set an official date in May to move my parents into her home. I have been gathering up some old photos' from my parents house and scanning them into my computer. Great memories are one of the greatest gift that we can hold onto and treasure.

Susan, I bought my banner at the Exchange at 29 Palms where my SIL is stationed.  I am sure you can get one at any NEX or Exchange.  You might be able to get them online as well.  I haven't checked that out.

Thanks to all of you for the info on the Blue Star Mothers. I never knew about this organization, and I didn't know about the Banner. I'll have to check it out in a couple of days. I am getting ready to go and help take care of my parents for a couple of nights, my other sister who does the Sunday shift is down with the flu. Ladies, have a good couple of days.

I'll have to check that out.  I've never heard of them. The great thing about the workshop, Deborah, is that I do get paid for it through a local poetry organization.  So, it's a double blessing.

I have a blue star banner in my window as well.  It has two stars:  one for my son, and one for my son-in-law. I know that is not typical but he is like a son to me.
