Thank you for your prayers.  Praise God for arranging a group who understands about my son and my mom!

Deb please understand that if anything becomes critical with your mom, notify your local red cross unit, and they will send a message to the boat and your son will be able to come home on emergency leave.  In the meantime, we will continue to keep your mother in our prayers.  {{{hugs}}}

I finally got a phone call from J, but he called when I was working and had to leave a message.  He knew I would be working but it was when he had time to call me.  He sounds really good and rested.  He wanted me to tell me about his grandmother.  His wife and I agreed (up to now) not to say anything but we forgot to tell my daughter.  So my DIL and I discussed it and she gave me good advice.  She said to tell him the truth but be positive so I texted him the message this afternoon.  We got my mom's pathology report yesterday.  She has uterine cancer.  We don't have a date for the surgery yet.  So please continue to pray.  Thanks.

Hi Ladies, I am back home from my parents. It was so great reading all of your messages. I did get a very short phone call yesterday morning at my parents from Christopher. It was a surprise and so great to hear his voice again!! It was midnight there and he was just getting to bed for a 4 1/2 hour rest before his next duty.  Like Brandi's son,Christopher had been up for a very long time with no sleep, {problems with equipment in his department}. He said he was absolutely exhausted, but glad to be at a Port. Maybe and hopefully, we will be able to Skype sometime tonight ot tomorrow morning!!! Sally, I am taking your suggestion to posting my comment into great consideration. I am so glad our sons our safe and sound right now after a very long "48 days"!!!

I just talked to someone from the phone tree.  She said there may be another mail drop within the next two weeks.  She said it is a big maybe.  At least this gives time to prepare him a package.

I know.  48 days is a long time.  We still haven't heard from Aaron.  I hope he's not upset that he won't be getting a package this time.

We haven't heard from Aaron yet.  I'll keep watching the mail.  Hugs to all!

Part of the problem as I see it is communication both from our sons as well as the Navy. We sent the Navy our sons that will be forever our 'lil' boys in our hearts, however the Navy accepted our young 'men'! The men have a redonsibity to share information with us. For the military, a deployment is common practice for all the branches of the service, that are both single and married. This was the first time our boys were deployed, I'm sure it was a learning experience for them as well as us. Today the stress of the unknown is lifted as I just got a text message from Steven to let me know he is back in japan. So girls, take a deep breathe and rejoice as our me
Are safe at shore!
