Did everyone get an email about a mail drop?  I just got it this morning.  The due date to get a package to them is Tuesday!  I live on the east coast, so it is impossible to get a package to them by then.  All the addresses are in San Diego.

I have a scripture that is so helpful to me when I think of Aaron and I wanted to share it with y'all. Even though we cannot see or hear from our sons, God knows exactly where they are and He has them in His hands.  "If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the SEA, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast." (Psalms 139:9-10).  Read the whole psalm for an extra blessing.  Deborah, I'm glad you will be able to celebrate your mom's birthday.  May God give you comfort and strength.

Sorry, I didn't update you all sooner.  My dad, sister, and I went to the biopsy with my mom on Thursday afternoon.  The doctor talked to the three of us before the procedure.  He toned down what he said over what he told me over the phone.  He spoke with us after as well.  Although it was tricky, he said the biopsy wasn't as difficult as he had first thought.  And my mom did not appear to have any discomfort.  Praise the Lord!  He also reiterated that he still believes it is cancer.  And we should be looking for a surgeon.  The pathology results are supposed to be on Tuesday.  I will let you know then what the verdict is.

We are celebrating my mom's bday on Saturday at my house.  Although we had Thanksgiving here, traditionally, all family events are usually at my parent's house.  So it is the new normal.  I suppose there will be many more "new normals" from now on.  Continue to pray for us as this is just the beginning.  Thanks!

Colleen, I Love the comment!!!!You made me laugh!! Navy Mom's We Are!! Sally, everyone of you put a smile on my face everytime I read the messages from all of you. Sometimes it's serious, and sometimes it's just full of humor!!! But getting back to the serious side, Deborah, how did you make out with your Mom at the Dr's this week? I wish there was something more we could all do besides praying. But Praying is a powerful source.Brandi, your son doesn't look 6ft 6in., that's great!!!Christopher has had his up and downs too, especially this past year You are right, It's a very tough, demanding job being on a sub, earning your qualifications, and especially their first deployment.I know Christopher will always remember how to plan better the next for his next deployment. This has been and will be a huge learning experience in his life.God Bless Them All!

Yes, Sally, we are amazing.  This is almost like the show Army Wives.  Instead it can be called Navy Moms!  We don't have the drama they do, but our real lives are just as interesting.  I'm starting a new course in my Master's program at the end of this month.  This one is specific to my subject area, English.  I have lots of reading, but I love it so it isn't a chore.  Love y'all!

We got over a foot, I know.  Tomorrow school is closed.  It was  job cleaning off our cars.

Oh My Goodness Colleen, How much snow did you get????? We lucked out we only got 4 inches, how lucky were we??? But you, I heard Connecticut got 22 inches!!!! Michael was so worried,{b/c he's in Texas}, but all of my neighbors pitched in to help with my driveway.So...my grandson Patrick is home from school, so I made him some Choc.Chip pancakes with bacon. They will probably have school tomorrow, then they are off a long weekend Fri. & Mon. for Martin Luther King.I bought him a few little surprises to work on, a little painting kit, and some Moon Sand (like play doe, but doesn't dry out), plus he has a Lego Truck to work on. So we'll be busy inside the house.

Susan, of course you are forgiven!  I can't speak for everyone, but I didn't take any offense.  We all believe our sons are great looking.  It doesn't take away from the others because we do. Stop kicking yourself.

Again, I am delighted to have started this group.  I hope we can continue even after the boys are back from this deployment.  I can't wait to see Aaron when he comes for a visit next June.  He said he's coming in June.  It will be almost two years since we have seen him.  God keeps my heart strong and assured that the fellas are okay.

Well, we have a snow day here in Brockton, MA tomorrow.  They say it will be a whopper of a storm.  We'll see. I don't mind (even though I don't get paid) a day off.  I have lots of reading and I'm going to work on my upcoming novel.  Love to all.

I know this group has been a comfort to me!  And I may have to start writing down names, hometowns, and sons' names myself to keep everyone straight.  But that doesn't dilute how much I appreciate all of you.  My DIL (daughter-in-law) said the other day, I am tired of J not being able to talk to me.  And I agreed and I agree!  But if we are tired, at least I know you all understand because you are tired too.  I am praying that our sons will be able to communicate with us soon.  And I am praying that we will all be comforted and strengthened until that day arrives.  <3
