Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

It is Sooo Nice to hear when parents are well taken care of with communication by the Commanding Officers of the boat!!! It does send a comforting message to us all.

I know sdrnrnrn....I was so taken aback by that gesture. At first I thought something horrible had happened to him. My first thought was car accident. But, it was still so kind and thoughtful a call. One came after they hit Japan just to ask if my son had called me to tell me he was OK.

I just wanted to thank the COB for taking the time to call me. His first call was to tell me that my son had arrived safely aboard the sub and was getting settled. A few months later I received another call to inform me that my son was doing well and working towards his Dolphins. Thanks Chief

Hi mom4one, I'm in the same place you are except he has emailed me said he is very busy tring to get his Dolphins and qualified on the sub and that's a lot of work with only about 4 hours sleep a night. Thankful my son made lots of older sub friends that has kept me posted on what to expect. Maybe I can relay some info to you. Feel free to email me. Because I know, the he will be ok is just not enough for us worrying moms.

Mom4one......Don't be nervous.....They are all good....I know how you feel, in the very beginning I was nervous too, & had a lot of tears. I see you joined the group "Sub Mom's". Great group that has "A TON" of info written under their "Pages" to the right of their comment wall, that will help you feel at ease. Their Administrators of that group are loaded with info. I will give you a heads up to let you know when they are back so you can try to communicate with him on the Ombudsman list & getting him to sign up for their "Sub" email before they head out the next time.
