I finally called today. She was very helpful. Now I'm on the phone tree and I will get emails. I emailed Aaron. She said no news is good news. She also said not to send any sad or upsetting news. We have to call her and she passes it on to the commander and he decides when to give him the news.

I am going to call the obudsman today. I left myself a note this time. I keep forgetting.

I have used Aaron's email address he uses when he is underway. Mine came back as undeliverable. I'll have to try that website to get something through. I know they will have tons of adventures on this deployment, whether good or bad! I pray for their safety and growth personally and spiritually. Aaron has matured so much since being in the Navy. I wish he could be here for Thanksgiving. I ordered food to heat up instead of cooking. The day before we are driving to NY to see a college our daughter wants to go to. It will take about four hours to get there. It's called Culinary Institute of America. I know we'll be tired, so I didn't want to cook. Both our families are far away (I'm from Omaha, NE) and Malcolm is from the West Indies so we always have a low key celebration. I hope all of you have a wonder holiday. Does anyone do the early morning shopping on Black Friday, the day after? I usually don't. Blessings to you all!

Hi Sally, I just e-mailed Chris the other day. It was an e-mail that he gave me a while ago for when he would be out to sea this past year. They do receive e-mail depending upon how far out or deep they are. He has responded back in the past. I have not rec'd anything back from him as of yet since he has been deployed. The e-mail is passed through a special service that the military uses.Everything is read by them to make sure it is safe. I did get a responce that my last e-mail was passed through to the sub. After you send one, you get a notice if they changed anything on it. None of mine have ever been changed. The important thing is, if you send an e-mail, you can't send any attachments what so ever, just a written paragraph. I am not sure if Chris had to sign up for and get persmission to receive e-mail service. I can give you the e-mail address, but I'm not sure if it is aloud? Would anyone know if I can do that?

Gee, that's great! Chris's girlfriend, Hillary, is a first grade teacher in the Heart of North Charleston SC. She loves it. I just told her about the web site that Sally's husband found. She did already know about it. She met the family in one of the photo's on one of her visits with Chris. The mother and 2 daughters standing on the dock waiting for the sub to leave. Hillary actually grew up in San Diego as a child and then moved to Charleston about 10 years ago. Over the weekend, I am going to post a picture of the 2 of them that was taken in Disneyland when she visited him the first weekend in Nov.

You're right, I am passionate about my work. Right now I'm in a Master's program for middle school English and I already have my teaching license. I hope to get a teaching job next school year. I love the challenges working in a therapeutic school bring.

I wasn't able to call the number. I had a long day at work. I'm a special ed paraprofessional in a therapeutic school. I'm working one on one with a student. It's new for me and I want to give him all the help learning I can. It's not easy. Many things can and do go wrong during the day. I get very tired by the end of the day.

That's okay, Susan. That's what we are here for.

I'm going to call the number I have tomorrow. I wonder why we didn't get an info packet? Maybe it's coming. Aaron didn't mention anything about it, but then he probably had a lot of stuff on his mind.

Susan, I've never heard of that town. Is it on the North or South Shore? I gave Aaron a phone number. I'm going to try it, then I can let you all know. There has got to be a way to get info like that to each other. Is Disneyland in San Diego? I have cousins in LA, Pasadena, and another place in CA that I can't remember. One of my LA cousins is seriously ill. I want to visit her.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Susan. We'll get through this together! :))
