OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Talked to my son yesterday and he said he received the boxes I sent him.  I sent the boxes on the 28th of January and was hoping he would get them for Valentine's Day! So happy to hear they arrived so fast :)

These things always make me crazy...if I were to say anything...I would get OPSEC called on me...

But they can print it in a paper and publish it online?

Ditto on the missing my Sailor.  Maggie, what ship is she on?  Mine is on the Stockdale.  I forgot how long it takes to get a pkg. to them on deployment and my Sailor's BD is next week.  I'll put the Easter card in at the same time!

I've sent off care packages twice to my daughter...she still hasn't received them!  They will be in a port soon...maybe she will get them then...

*sigh*

I miss her!
