Julie, you have sunshine? What is that???!!! Just kidding, I know, we are finally getting some of that too. Is so nice to see the light, have some enjoyable temps, and can finally turn the heat off for a while!
I have heard that the email system was down, off and on. They are working on it. I get only little from my sailor, when they think I am supposed to get it! Luckily, with two, I may get info from one or the other about each other! Ha! So that helps me! I get more when they cant visit with the other as much, but I also get all the gripes and boredoms or lonliness then too. So when they need the 'pick-me-up', mom all of a sudden is more popular! Silly kids!

Why thanks, hippmom! We know you just cant stay away from us! And of course, we always want you here with us! You have had alot of info and knowledge for us, when it was needed.
I wish for a safe and fun filled Easter that will be one like no other for each of you, too!

Hi ya friends.
Another term. Tho this one is sounding a bit more 'fun' as I hear it. Annette, yes, you should still be able to ship packages/mail to the same address. Emails are still the same. I, too, would love it if anyone took photos....I live just too darn far away from the coast :0[
Ouch Sioban. You are strong, they are just as strong, they have part of you in them that is carried all the time. So hang in there. I know, me, too. Two off in different parts at the same time, tho in the same branch...We'll make it. It will be OK. Remember, we all are there for each other, lifting one another up, arms outstretched! Good Easter to each of you (Word of warning, dont leave the chocolate bunnies outside in the sunshine too long....or lingering little chocolate droplets remain! Sorry, ill attempt at humor to lighten the soul) Yep, miss that boy too.... :0{

Hippmom, so happy for you! That is wonderful! It is nice to get that first call I think. Until you get it, we just are on pins and needles with worry. Not that we arent after it, but it helps to have some idea.

Well, spring has left us again, even while we speak,it is swirling white "stuff" out there again. And this is the first day of spring! We are well behind 6 weeks of our norm, but then again, nothing this winter/spring is normal! Wishing everyone well, and a great spring to you!

Valerie, sorry, I meant that as..."we always tend to do better than we really THINK we do"....Sorry!
Comment by kim ann on January 22, 2010 at 10:00pm
Valerie, dont you worry, we always tend to do better than we really do! Besides, this is a long time goal, and you will do even better for it. I went back to school as one of those "non-traditional students" (I think its only a politically correct term for 'older student' Ha! ) and the instructors really liked us better. We were in to "Learn", not to memorize and get by. So, we may ask more questions, but we didnt move on until we understood the material first, before tackling the next subject! When it came to taking the tests to see how we were doing, the non-traditionals shown to be more advanced! So, breath in, breath out, you will do it!

Hippmom, sure hope you do have a really great time at the meet-n-greet. You have so much to share and help with the newer members, they will be looking on you for as much info as their sponge-soaking minds can absorb! You will probably feel them nit-picking/probing as much as they can! You do have a wonderful time, gain some new friends, and enjoy! Wish I could send you some of our weather...we too, are back to rain. Scary at this time of year, freezes at nite...sooooo...ICE! The rivers are melting, creating huge ice chunks along the pillars of river bridges...dangerous situations. It is now backing the water up, so more danger. I have 4 to go across, no matter which direction I go, and I cringe each time I go across.

All you other VG moms out there...Wishing you well during this time as well. Blessings to all of you! Keep smiling!!!

Oh Hippmom! Glad you have the warm-up going! We did have the lower 40's until today, back to snow flurries and lower 30's. BUT....they say upper 50's mid week! I am praying they are right! The only snow we had left was in the shades and the deep piles, and supposedly this snow today is not to last!
Praying all our VG families are doing well too. With tons of prayers and well wishes to those military and civilian workers having gone to Haiti...not to mention the devastated Haitian people....God's Blessings be to them all...
