OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Ladies, please don't post the whereabouts, nor timing of ship movements. I realize the "not knowing" as difficult, but giving out info into the wrong hands is worse. I know that is not intentional by any means. If email itself is easily breachable, guess how easy it would be for for it to be gathered on here? Protection and security is as much our priority as is for our brave men and women... So let us be support for one another, ask questions and answer best as we can, but not give out security info. May you all have a great Easter, and may your VG-er's be Blessed, kept safe and happy as well!
