@NAVYWIFE21.... WAY TO GO! Someone needed to say something.
Hi ladies! How's everyone holding up?
I just wanted to take a minute to give a quick OPSEC reminder. I know it's discussed a ton but that's a good thing. :) ...
-It's my understanding that there have been a few violations on Facebook, etc of spouses/relatives giving out specific dates andor generalized timelines of the ship's locations. I have seen one myself and though it was taken down after someone made a comment, there's no telling who saw it/them.
Just like each of you, I want my sailor/our sailors to come home SAFELY and ON TIME. For this to happen, we NEED to be sure that no info is given out on a public site or even through email! You'd be surprised how easy it would be for someone to find out all this info. Not good.
Even posting percentages or how many months you think they have left is a terrible idea, as it is relatively easy to do the basic math and figure out their general return date(s). (As their "Sail away day" is posted online already.)
Just a friendly reminder ladies. :) I know we're all on the same page and we all want their safety first and foremost!!
If you aren't sure if you can post it, chances are, you can't. If you have questions abut specifics of giving out information regarding your sailor(s), ask your FRG. They're there to help. :)
Have a wonderful day ladies! God bless.
hi, anyone on here feel free to add my fb page.
my fiance is on this ship and im looking for more friends :)
Jason'sMom- it's true that they do miss important events back here at home, but I just keep reminding myself that they're over there protecting us from a distance so that we can continue to have many more of those free/loving memories with them when they're back. :)
I saw on Facebook that they ported safely again today. Thank heavens!! I'm pretty jealous of all the neat places they get to see. I hope they realize how much country they're getting to see. :) Most people never live to see half of it.
Though i'm sure they all wish they were seeing it under better circumstances. lol
..I hope you're all hearing from your sailors/writing/sending packages and keeping your heads high. Every day is another day closer to us having our husbands/sons/daughters back home! God Bless & have a gerat day. :)
Hope everyone is having a blessed day. Home from work today sick. :( Missed my sons phone call yesterday.:( The ship phones are back up as of yesterday, so I hope everyone got a phone call from your sailor!!! :) My son did leave a sweet message, just good to hear his voice... I hope yalls week is off to a wonderful start.
So enjoy seeing all the crew of USS Vicksburg in the photos..
