I notice that this page is not very active...that said, there is experience here.  Our son will be attending VBSS training.  What can we expect.  Is this a big deal?  Will he be able to come home or us visit while he is in school?  It has been almost a year since we've seen him, and his schooling drivable for us for a short visit.

Matt's Mom, have a wonderful time with him. Give him hugs from all of us! I started a digital book of pictures of his ship & of him. I plan on having it printed and giving it to him for Christmas next year.

Vans mom, thank you! I have been thinking about him so much. The rest of the family gathered last weekend for my sisters daughters wedding & it hit me hard not to have him there. It was the first wedding in the family. I am over it & very proud of him.

Hi all, I am very new to this, my son just told me he leaves for training Monday. He has been in the Navy for 2.5 yrs now and has been wanting to be on this team. He currently drives the RIB boat so he knows everyone well. It was so nice for me to hear the excitement in his voice he has worked so hard and he has wanted this for a long time. Just wanted to say Hello! Paula
