For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I have lots and lots of questions about getting married by the JOP there!
For starters do any of you ladies know if they waive the 3 day waiting period???

I was wondering the same thing about another area. But, I thought - correct me if I'm wrong - they are not allowed to go to New Orleans or Panama City? They are restricted to the sailors. I think I heard that a few months ago..

Haha that makes sense. When I went to college in Florida, Panama City and New Orleans were always where we go for sprring break, sorority/fraternity formal, and to just go and party. Is he in school in Pensacola? If so, check the main thread, because that topic has been discussed a great deal recently. My husband and I got married in Florida and the only way they waive the three day waiting period I'd if you have taken marriage counseling. One of my co-workers in Jacksonville, her hubby is on the George H.W. Bush and they wanted to get married at the JOP before he deployed. Florida accepted them doing marriage counseling over the phone and waived the three day waiting period. Maybe see if you can get there two days early and do some counseling with your fiance on base with the chaplin. I'm sure the chaplin would be happy to set up an appointment to meet with you both that works around your fiances schedule. I'll be willing to bet he can sign something off for the clerk of courts verifying that you satisfied that requirement. But call the clerk of courts in Pensacola (I believe its Escambia County) and double check. They tend to work with you and make it as easy as possible.

I know for sure for sure that if you are a FL resident there is a three day waiting period. But if neither you nor your fiance are residents there is no waiting period. So luckily that is not a stress anymore! I am now just extremely stressed that we won't make it to the courthouse on time! Do you think it if we called a few weeks in advance someone might stay a little later to help us out?? The Bay County Courthouse closes at 4:30 PM.

so my sailor will be going to A-school in pensacola,fl we also plan to get married while he's in school so like what did you do and both is from MI, he graduate form boot camp aug18. do you think you can help me we're really stress about this PLZ
