I'm in the Green Bay/ Appleton area
Looking for some Navy Moms near Eau Claire. It seems so many are from the Milwaukee area. It would be fun to do a meet and greet :)
Hello Everyone!! New Navy Mom....My son is a Graduate of Cassville High School Class of 2011, Tony's PIR was on 7/28 and is still in Great Lakes for A School Electrician's Mate. He had a rough start as I think they all do, but he seems to be doing great now. Looking forward to getting to know other Mom's here!!
Debi, so glad to hear that the Navy is finding a spot for Elias. I am sure that he is happy that he isn't on hold anymore. That waiting can be so difficult.
Debi: My son is an EO in Lucky Eleven Battalion in Gulfport, MS getting ready for his 2nd deployment "soon". LOL, my son, Nick said if he had to sum up his life in the military in a tattoo it would read: "Hurry up and wait". Will Elias go to GP or Port Hueme in CA? or?? Welcome to the Seabee Family. Can Do!
Hello all,
It's been awhile since I checked in. Sailor updates: My son Elias PIR'd on 4/19 and had to reclassify from Nuke to his second choice of Seabee due to motion sickenss which I find ironic since they offered him many rates that would have made one more sick than being a nuke but LOL that's the Navy. He was able to go to Fort Leonard Wood as an Equipment Operator and is having a blast playing with adult sized Tonka Toys :)
Seth, Elias' twin, went into boot camp June 11 as part of the White Sox Division and will PIR on 8/9. Then he's off to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio for HM /FMBT/.FMF training ;)
I'll check in more later :) have a great week!!
My thoughts and prayers are with Dotzler's family and his shipmates.
Very nice interview but so sad.
God Bless Diver Dotzler and bring peace to his mother. WTMJ had a nice interview: http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/212832321.html
Praying for the Dotzler family... May the Lord lift them up during this tragedy.
