Sounds good, Kim.  I look forward to talking to you more about what can be done.

LT Tom - I am from Racine/live just south of the Milwaukee boarder.  I would be interested in helping out with something like this. A few of us have gotten together in the past, but wish we had something a little more regular.  Please let me know what I can do to help out with this.  Thanks - Kim

Cathi - what do you think about this??  Should we maybe work on something like this??  I think it might be fun and a good turn out?  I am also going to be a little busy getting a 'holiday care package' group going for my daughter and her ship which will be gone this year at Christmas...hope to talk with you soon.

Hi Mary,

I guess it can be extended at any time. Right now I am counting days until the end or near the end. But who knows. I love the emails no matter what they say. I cant wait to see her. I know they will be going out again shortly after arriving home. But she said that was a pleasure cruise.

Hello Navy Moms in Wisconsin (and Milwaukee in particular).  I am the planner for Navy Week Milwaukee 2012 and also working with the planning for the War of 1812 Commemoration happening that week.  In past cities where I have planned Navy Weeks, the moms who get together regularly sometimes have Sailors and our Admirals at their meetings/dinners.  They are a great interchange between the moms and the Sailors and a great way to ask questions about the Navy.

I wanted to see if there are any groups that get together that are interested in having an event like this the Week of August 9-12?  I can provide the contact of Navy for Moms in Atlanta and San Antonio if you want to know more about what they did and how it went.

Send me a message if there is interest.

LT Tom

Just poking my head in ...I don't see much happening. I am hoping that means good things. My daughter is just past the 4 month mark of her 7 month deployment. Her ship doesn't allow her or her shipmates to facebook or skype but I still get emails. I haven't heard her voice since she called in November just after my granddaughter passed away. I guess the big thing is to stay busy while they are gone. Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone and their sailor.

Saturday already...wild winds here,  but the temp is suppose to reach 59 degrees.  Did anyone get to see the Northern Lights and the beautiful full moon the past few nights?  Amazing...

I still have a difficult time comprehending DST but it is here anyway.  Some states don't even do it.

My attitude is going to make it a beautiful day!! Wishing you all the same.
