Jen's son is on the Stennis, I think....
So Steven got his orders, even though he's been doing the whole Nuke sub training for the last 1 1/2yrs - he was assigned to the carrier John C Stennis out of Bremerton, WA. Reports July 4th, should be home for a bit in June :)
I am looking at places in Stevens Points for us, I am going to call & see if I can get any kind of deals.
Kris...sounds great, I'll be there.
Congrats nytesail!...are you within the 50 miles that he can come home for the day? we were 75 miles away :(
Just got back from PIR!! Wow...I sort of felt like I was cheating living so close to the base. Some families traveled so far and here I am getting to sleep in my own bed tonight and a day of Liberty tomorrow with my son. We stayed at the Gateway on the base and had a view of Lake Michigan.lol
All in all the best Friday the 13th ever! :>)))
Hello - how does the weekend of July 15-17 look? We could meet Saturday 16th for an allday potluck (we are from wisconsin!) /get together & then do an evening thing too for people who want to stay and or traveled a distance. The plan would be Stevens Point/WI Rapids/Wausau area. I will research parks & hotels. Let me know as we should get going on this. We will do a majority rule.
thanks
