Hello WI navy moms.  Happy to be a member of this group.  I am in Medford which is about an hour northwest of Wausau.  I would be interested in the summer get together...thanks!

I am glad there are plans already in the works and I am excited to meet you all. I do have a question as I am a new Navy Mom. I am more familiar with all the other branches as my brother and myself were in the Air Force, I have had relatives in the Army and a brother-in-law in the Marines. In all the other branches, either after boot camp or after their schooling, everyone got to come home for at least 1 week to visit family and square things away a little bit. Does that happen in the Navy? So far I am not seeing that happening.

Kimberly Joy - we are planning a get together this summer, you may have to read back a few pages.  We tried one this winter but it didnt work for anyone.  We are looking at month of July middle of the state.

Welcome

I would love to see sometime in the future a Wisconsin Navy family get together. It doesn't have to be extravagant; a potluck in a centrally located park in Wisconsin or something like that. It would just be neat to meet face to face a lot of Wisconsin Navy families. Just a thought.

I just want to introduce myself to the group. I am thrilled there is a site for Mom's from Wisconsin. My son just graduated from boot camp this last weekend and left for A school in Pensacola,Fl early the next morning. I am extremely proud of him. He loved boot camp and is excited for his classes to start in late May. I just want to say hello to the group.
