thank for the info, Simply.

On a similar note, my uncle is going on an Honor Flight next weekend--WWII vets get to fly to Washington DC to see the WWII memorial and other sites for the day---and our family is going to be at the "Welcome Home" at the airport.  I'm sure there won't be a dry eye in the house.

I wanted to wish all of my new found Wisconsin Navy Moms the most wonderful Mother's Day...our houses may be a little more empty this day, but our hearts are no less full.  Keep your chin up.  I am blessed to know such a bunch of supportive and kind people.  thank you ~ Linda

Mary, I've attached the article from the Milwaukee Journal below.  Yes, my family was also so very disappointed!  We knew nothing about this event, until a friend of that is a WWI reenactor told us about it.

If any of you go, please stop by the WWI base & talk to Rob L.  He will get you SO EXCITED about history, it is amazing!!!  He really should have been a teacher!!  Also if anyone likes to read history, he does have a few published books, e-mail me &  I will pass along his info.  :)

By the way if any of you are interested.  There is an amazing event coming up the first weekend in June, a weekend of ALL MILITARY.  It is called Reclaiming Our Heritage; it is on the VA grounds in Milwaukee, right behind Miller Park.  There will be reenacters there from Revolutionary War to Present/current serving.  On Saturday morning there is an amazing parade that is almost completely military & last year there was even 900 companys from RTC Great Lakes, that my son got to talk to before he went in.  :)  It is free & will happen rain or shine; but this is the last year of this event.  :(   Here is the website.

Sorry, I have not been on much lately.  Things are starting to get a little crazy here, with our vow renewal coming up!!!  Great News:  1 week from today my son will be heading for home on leave!!!!  Happy belated Mother's Day!!!  A late gift I will gladly take!!! :)

Yes, God Bless our Navy Seals & all our Military!!!  As far as a M&G, Point or Rapids would work for me too.  Just give me the date, I will do my best to make it.  We are looking at spending some time in MD in July, with our son.  But if I'm home I will come.

Kris, thanks for do this.  I'd be willing to drive anywhere in the state...I'm just north of Milwaukee.  Mid July sounds great.

Hello,  I'd be willing to try & arrange a meet & greet for us WI moms.  Last time the talk was to meet in Madison...is this still the best option for people?  Otherwise we could pick a spot in the state that would be about the same driving distance for almost everyone. How long would people want to be together - afternoon & evening, etc?   I think we need to set a date & go from there - then people can plan.  Middle of July?  Please give me some firm ideas & I'll go from there.     thank you
