DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes, he is, Vicki. He will meet my older son up in AL to see some family members and then the 2 of them will drive home to Miami for some time off (we think!).

Thanks, Vicki. He is still "stuck" in Meridian right now, waiting on written orders (got verbals a week ago). He is READY to move on! But...patience! HA!

Has anyone every had a yeoman connected to a ship in dry dock? Just wondering if they do they regular job, or if it is tweaked during this time. Thanks!

I hope that every moment with him home is a wonderful memory in the making, Sharon. Knowing that he will be so far away will probably make the time you all have together now so much more special CELEBRATE!

Ok, Joymar: Since my son will be there too, you will have to check on him too when you visit M, ok? I can't be checking too often from Miami! :-) So glad that M will be that close to you !

That is so great, Joyce. He'll get through Mod 4. That is(was?) the bummer for T too. He is in class today...strange since it's Sunday? Said he is struggling again...oh boy. All we can do is encourage and pray...LOTS! It helps so much to have all of us encouraging one another, like Vicki did below. Thanks, Vicki! We Moms need the encouragement too! :-) How is B doing?

Oh, Sharon. I loved this! Sharing a "moment" involving my son at the airport! So glad that he wasn't running his mouth...he is the constant entertainer, you know? The wanna-be actor...but I hope he was respectful. He was taught that growing up, and in the industry he worked in (hotel)...so hopefully he was using his manners! Thanks so much for sharing! I will PM you my address info for the pik! Thanks so much! And, my son would have LOVED your hug as they left , by the way! I felt so bad that I wasn't there with you all...I just had no idea they were delayed because he called us after 9 (and my older son and I were driving up to Wisconsin, assuming T was in MS!).
