Welcome navymomx2 I also have 2 sons in the Navy. My oldest is at NAS Jax and my middle son is in Yokosuka.
Welcome!!!!!!
Welcome, Navymomx2!!
Navymomx2 ...welcome, try searching again for the ship under it's "hull number", maybe that's how it's listed.
Welcome Navymomx2. I also have two boys in the Navy.
Hi, I am new to this group. I have 2 sons in the Navy and my youngest will be moving from Sasebo to Yokosuka sometime after July. I started out looking for a group for USS Shiloh since that will be the ship he will be on but found that there is not a group for them.
I have sent two boxes to the base. One was a good size box and it cost me $85.00 but it was full of towels, clothes etc and was pretty heavy and the next was smaller with less things and it was only 25.00.
that's the only way I know of to send things to $30 isn't too bad. Just make sure you pack it securely and it should be fine. Remember insurance.......
My son wants his guitar sent to Yokosuka. I called UPS and they can't do it, so it has to go USPS. I guestimated the size and weight and it looks like it will be about $30? His birthday is next month, so I told him I will send it for his birthday! Just making sure I am not missing an easier way to mail things to Japan/military FPO address?
Thanks!
Carrie
Hi,
My son is graduating from Corpsman school early April then heading to FMTB then orders to Yokosuka. Have all the Mom questions like how will we communicate, where will he live etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
